Hi! I’m Stacey, a 30 year old expat from Yorkshire living in Bergen, Norway.
Long story short, I met the most amazing individual whilst studying my MA degree in Southampton; Bjørnar. What started out as a friendship, blossomed into something special. Unfortunately, B had no choice but to move back to Norway at the end of November in 2012 leaving us oceans apart. However, we remained strong as a couple (with a little bit of help from Skype and WhatsApp) and I made the decision to move to Norway the following June to embark on a new adventure and challenge.
For the past few years, I have been blogging about my experiences in Norway and health related stuff.
In November 2016, I discovered that I had inherited the CDH1 genetic mutation, and began writing about my journey to raise awareness and to help me cope with the whole thing.
After finding cancerous cells during a routine upper endoscopy, I had a Total Gastrectomy on the 26th September 2017.
I’m a lover of house and techno, a keen graphic designer and a sucker for pizza and beer!
